Abstract
Abstract
Electrochemical sensing systems are increasingly being adopted in diagnostic science because they enable rapid and costefficient
detection of biological signals. This study examines the core principles, functional applications, and diagnostic
effectiveness of electrochemical sensors in identifying a broad spectrum of diseases, including infectious, metabolic, and
chronic conditions. A mixed-method research design was implemented, combining primary survey data with insights drawn
from established scientific literature.
Primary data were obtained from 50 participants, including students, healthcare practitioners, and researchers, to assess
awareness, usability, and perceived dependability of these systems. Secondary data were collected from peer-reviewed
journal articles, review papers, conference proceedings, academic books, and reputable scientific databases such as PubMed,
Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar, focusing on analytical chemistry, biosensor technology,
biomedical engineering, and diagnostic sciences. These sources provided information on sensor design, analytical
performance, clinical applications, technological advancements, and current challenges associated with electrochemical
sensing systems.
